This includes the new Nightsun SXP series, Nightsun® XP series, SX-16 Nightsun® series, SX-7 Starsun, and SX-5 Starburst searchlight systems, among others.

PicksAir Ltd is the Western European Distributor for the aforementioned Spectrolab products. This includes all complete systems, components and spare parts.

Who We Are

A results orientated individual, self motivated with high levels of drive with vast experience across the complete spectrum of aviation activities who is astute at recognising and balancing the needs of teams, tasks, individuals and customers.

With over 38 years of aviation indutsry experence. Steve began his career as an Apprentice Aircraft Engineer with McAlpine Helicopters and rose to the position of Director of Support and Services having served as Quality Manager and Technical General Manager in his successful career path. Steve was Technical Director and on the board of Directors of both McAlpine Helicopters Ltd and Eurocopter UK Ltd. 

His position as Director of Support and Services for Airbus Helicopters UK has been far-reaching having had responsibility for two core functions of the business, namely, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), and Material Management (spares and logistics), as well as essential support teams: Quality and Safety Management, Technical Support (including airworthiness), Training (pilots, technicians and early careers) and Facilities Management, comprised of over 150 employees. Steve also had responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety. In addition, Steve has actively managed the construction and design of the Airbus Helicopters UK new headquarters at London Oxford Airport.  

His capacity to remain calm, instil confidence and to analyse situations and find solutions are his key strengths, and these have underpinned his achievements in evaluating and delivering business opportunities along with  managing multi-million-pound Operating Expenditure and profitability.
